What are the business skills you need?
Leadership skills, Management skills, Entrepreneurial skills, Professional skills, all have lists of business subskills that seem endless. However, essential skills that are common to all are Communication skills.
English in context.
Our communication skills workshops focus on improving the trainee’s English in a specific context. We make them unique to each client by building bespoke programs that draw on the latest subject books, course books, video, podcasts, case studies, simulations, company literature and documents, improv games, and ESL activities, to present relevant content and provide immediate impact. The activities promote language skill development and when complemented with timely feedback, provide tools that your trainees can use to communicate with confidence. Some of the skills we present:
- Cultural Awareness
Cultural awareness is more than knowing a few social niceties or how to handle a business card. It is a learned skill that aware people use in all aspects of their businesses. It permeates meetings, presentations, social functions, written correspondence, telephone calls, feedback, and time management. It mitigates conflict, creates bonds and seals deals.
- Effective Meetings
- International Presentations
- Networking and Socializing
- Public Speaking
- Time Management
- Goal Setting
- Email and Report writing
- Effective Feedback
Our skills workshops are always customized to your business situation. They tend to be a little longer than a course presented in your native language because, besides the skill content, we also input language and provide lots of opportunities for practice in order to bridge any language gap. We recommend a B2 level but will certainly entertain the challenge of training for those with B1+ levels.
If you are interested in this kind of training, we’ll be happy to do a language audit and skills gap analysis of your team and work with you to arrange your bespoke course.
